Amenities: The Pearson Air Museum located on America’s oldest operating air field is an extraordinary venue that will make a lasting impression on your guests. Hold your event in America’s oldest wood airplane hangar, that still houses airplanes and enjoy rare World War I and vintage World War II aircraft all while being surrounded by fascinating aviation exhibits. The hangar is a unique space with aviation themed murals, vintage planes and historially accurate exhibits for your guests.
The Museum is ADA accessible, has restrooms, a catering kitchen, approved caterers list, and hangar doors that open to a tarmac for additional space outdoors. Convenient onsite parking, tables, chairs and audio-visual equipment are also available.
Audio-Visual Equipment: The Tex Rankin Theater includes a state-of-the-art built-in projection/sound system that is easily accessed and included in use of the room. A portable projection/sound system is available for use in the Main Hangar or Historic Hangar.
Flight Simulator Lab: With the latest technology from Microsoft on ten computers, our flight simulator lab allows guests to simulate flying planes of their choice in the country’s oldest wooden hangar that still houses planes.
Outside Area: Seven acres of large outdoor space located adjacent to the oldest continually operated air field in the United States. There are 48 wooded picnic tabled placed around that are easy walking distance from a vehicle.
Tables and Chairs: Tables and chairs are included in your rental and are set up prior to your event start time. Available for your use are; twelve 96” rectangular tables, fifty-four 60” round tables, four-hundred fabric chairs, ninety hard plastic chairs, and thirty picnic tables for outdoor use.
Historic Site: Pearson is a living aviation museum with all of the planes in flyable condition and exhibits having considerable historic value. Extra care will be taken by the renting party to ensure that the guests respect the integrity of the exhibits and that the surfaces of the exhibits are protected. Due to the historic nature of the site, absolutely no staking will be permitted on any of the exterior grounds. Tents and any other top-heavy items must be weighed down.
